Originally born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Pep started singing when he was 15 and by the age of 17 was strumming guitar along with his rockabilly records and he hasn't stopped since! Fronting his own band, PEP TORRES has released three albums on the Hollywood Vintage Records label: "Rockabilidad" (2000), "You and I" (2002),and "It Aint Rocket Science" (2004) with his fourth ,"Luck Is On My Side"(2006) ...he is after all 'an All American/Mexican Boy'! His music is prominent within the roots music genre sub-culture in the United States as well as in Latin America and in Europe where he has been called by some "the new Ritchie Valens" and the King of Latino Rock and Roll. He has appeared all over the United States and Canada including top venues such as the House of Blues, the Derby, and the Roxy in Hollywood, the Tractor in Seattle, and the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas. In December 2002 Pep crossed the Atlantic for the first time performing to an eager audience in Barcelona, Spain at the Barcelona Hayride Festival. March 2004 brought Torres back to Spain for the third time and his first full tour of the country with performances in Madrid, Barcelona, Granollers, LHospitalet, Zaragoza, and Bilbao. Pep Torres has returned to Europe the past two summers : August 2004 saw Pep in Lisbon, Portugal and Senigallia, Italy. After a multi-city tour of Germany, Pep was back in Spain, this time the beach resort of Cubelles. Then it was back in the States and Seattle for their Rockabilly Ball. October 2004 saw Pep in Mexico City. 2004 ended with a New Years Eve show in Las Vegas. 2005 saw Pep Torres shows in Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and a return performance in Mexico.
