On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the musical career
of Willie Lewis, I´m proud to introduce ya´ll to
this hot little piece of musical history. Yep, that's right,
it´s been 25 years since Willie Lewis recorded his very
first songs. Since his first recordings, he and his "Baby"
- the Rock-a-Billy Record Company- have went on to became legendary
the world over. Through the years he has recorded under many
different names and with numerous different bands. This album
will give ya´ll a very small look inside the many ways
that he has performed his own unique style of "down home"
Rockabilly, and country music over the years with each of these
bands. Although these recordings are all previously unissued,
you'll hear some of the best tracks he has ever made. A few
of the titles are well known through different versions of the
songs that he has recorded and issued with other bands, but
they are all previously unissued in these performances. All
of the songs you will hear on this CD, recorded with The Tennessee
Boys, The Original Stablemen, The Spuddnicks, The Bop-A-Whiles
or The Brenver Brothers may all have a different feeling or
"style" for the music that is being performed, but
they are all dictated by the unique, rockin´ heart-beat
of the one and only Willie Lewis. So please put your rockin'
shoes on and get ready to "shake, rattle & roll"
while taking a wild, crazy rockin' trip along with Willie "The
King Cat" Lewis into the "heart" of Bopland.
